FREE SHOW! West Bound WA presents The Pleasures (VIC), heading West for their live debut, with a full head of steam and the promise of a new record out in July!

Fronted by the dual forces of Catherine Britt and Lachlan Bryan, who always deliver a mash of high-energy tunes and delicate pin-drop moments, sibling-like harmonies, & sharp wit. Their sound personifies the eclectic nature of Americana – drawing on country rock, blues and folk music – with a good pinch of punk attitude. Reviewers seem to agree that the full four-piece has one of the most dynamic live shows in the genre right now. Fresh from performing one of their best live shows to date at Tamworth (sold out, with queues stretching down the road!), The Pleasures will continue into 2025 playing festivals and their own headline shows. The Pleasures play in WA for the first time this February at the legendary Honky Tonk Blues Bar in Fremantle on Thursday 27th February before heading to Nannup Music Festival. In recent times they’ve put out three new singles in quick succession and a Christmas song in late 2024, enjoying plenty of streaming-platform playlist-joy along with support on radio from Double J, ABC Country, Edge of Country, Saturday Night County, and a raft of community stations, including Perth station RTRFM 92.1. They also saw a nomination for “Group of the Year” at the 2025 Golden Guitar Awards Their debut ‘The Beginning of the End’ was released to much acclaim, and has kept them on the road for most of the past 16 months. Alongside a string of headline shows in the USA, UK and Scandinavia, the band has also found time for barnstorming sets at Port Fairy Folk Festival, The Gympie Muster, Out on the Weekend, Groundwater Festival, Maverick Festival (UK) and Shrewsbury Folk Festival (UK). Late last year they were official showcase artists at both Folk Alliance International (Kansas City) and Americanafest (Nashville).
