The Lies We Tell Ourselves - Revelation Film Festival (expired event)

Part mockumentary, part experimental film, part comedy – The Lies We Tell Ourselves – follows a director as they try and complete a new art house film.

The film, about the film, is the film, and the making of the film, that The Lies We Tell Ourselves is.

Not simply a metaphysical concept so much as a way to explore the process of filmmaking as an independent director – navigating wannabe actors, industry representatives, agents, a therapist, mansplainers – travelling to film festivals and trying to get a work made.
